Rowe is a women's contemporary clothing boutique located in the Short North Arts District of Columbus, OH. After beginning as a pop-up boutique in 2006, we proudly opened our doors on April 7th, 2007 and have earned our place as one of the top boutique shopping destinations in Ohio. We carefully select a unique collection of contemporary and emerging designers for our fashion conscious shoppers. Our customers are a mix of the sophisticated urbanite and the modern suburban woman, looking for the perfect piece to wear to an event or staple pieces to keep her wardrobe current and on trend.
Rowe Boutique’s owner, Maren Roth, was born in Columbus, OH, where she grew up until her family moved to Minneapolis, MN at age 10. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Consumer Journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Maren studied in Seville, Spain before completing a prestigious internship with the trade news publication DNR in New York. She moved to New York after graduation, where she worked for various advertising and PR agencies on high-end fashion accounts, until she became director of public relations for Simon Showroom.
After five years in Manhattan, Maren decided to make the move back to Columbus to open a clothing store. Rowe began as a pop-up shop in May 2006. Continuing to host events throughout the year, she opened Rowe's permanent doors in the Short North in April 2007. Maren expanded Rowe in 2010, taking over the storefront adjacent and more than doubling the size of the store. After a quick redesign, the new Rowe debuted. In July of 2022 Rowe expanded once again, closing the original location and moving to a larger space a half block south and has continued to be one of “the go-to” shopping destinations in the city over the past 15 years.
In addition to her passion for her business, she also shares a great love for her non-profit, The Jack Roth Fund, started in 2006 in her father’s loving memory. The Jack Roth Fund was created to promote the vital research and treatment necessary to combat lung cancer, through the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, and to support Jack Roth Camp Netaim, a program in Israel for children with special needs. Through multiple fundraising efforts over the years, including an annual Rowe Fashion Show and The Jack Roth 5K Rock ’N’ Run, the fund has raised over $1.7 million.
Maren lives with her husband Marc and their children Lennon, Nash and teacup Persian Kaptain.
